Welcome to my classroom!

I am enjoying teaching High Five at Cityview in Room 33. Each day is full of learning for the 4 and 5 year olds and for me.  We focus on learning the things that will make students "Smart Kindergarteners." I tell students often how sad I am that they are getting so smart that they will leave and go to kindergarten. They laugh and tell me they will come back to visit. I love the sense of humor of students this age.

I went to school at Moorhead State University and then got my masters degree in teaching and learning at the University of St. Mary's University in Winona. I have taught preschool, kindergarten, and a few different grade levels of elementary school for Minneapolis Public Schools over the last 20 years. I live with my family in Apple Valley. Steve is a Transportation Manager for Minneapolis Public Schools and our daughters Miranda and Annalyssa are in High School and in Middle School. In our spare time, we enjoy watching our kids play basketball and love to take family trips.

Families are always welcome to participate in our classroom as we talk, read, write, sing, dance, and play to learn each day. The amount of learning that happens though out our High Five year is so amazing. Students become writers, actors, problem-solvers, friends, and amazing students while they learn each day.

I feel honored to be part of an amazing team of teachers at Cityview. Please be in touch with any questions. kris.romsdal@mpls.k12.mn.us is my email address and contacting me that way makes it easy for me to get back to you quickly. You can also call 612-668-2270 or stop by Room 33.
