Aqueelah Roberson, Full-Service Community Schools Coordinator for Cityview

Born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Aqueelah has lived in Minnesota for 12 years. She holds a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Central Florida (UCF). Inspired by her mother’s awe-inspiring career as a teacher in special education, Roberson left the stage and ventured into the education arena. Passionate about helping others through the arts, she has taught classes in acting, theatre history, and public speaking. She served the students and families of Saint Paul Public Schools as a family liaison, full-service school coordinator and cultural specialist for 7 years. In these positions, she helped to cement the home/school partnership while cultivating community connections that aided students in acquiring an enriched educational journey. Aqueelah is a strong advocate of extending the classroom walls into the community. She is an active mentor and volunteers throughout the Twin Cities. She is responsible for site coordination of the FSCS work at Cityview
